Region 3 K9: Search and Rescue Training

On November 23rd, the Philomath Scout Lodge donated the outdoor areas to R3 K9 SAR for their search and rescue training! R3 K9 is volunteer run, and provides search and rescue services to 9 counties in Oregon. Thank you for all you do R3 K9, the Philomath Scout Lodge is happy to offer our grounds to this great organization!

Community Impact

Our mission at Philomath Scout Lodge is to provide a space for community groups and organizations such as non-profits, and youth organizations to gather for little to no cost.

In 2024, we hosted seven different organizations for a total of 66 days in our beautiful space for free. These included boy scouts, girl scouts, and other youth organizations. We also hosted an additional ten non-profit organizations for a total of 18 days at a significantly reduced cost.

We are also the host of the annual non-profit rummage sale, where area non-profits are invited to use our space for free and raise money for their own organizations. In 2024, we had over 11 organizations join us and collectively several thousands of dollars were raised.

We also recognize that the need for gathering may sometimes come during difficult times. The Philomath Scout Lodge also offers reduced rates on space use for memorial services to community members and free space use for memorial services for veterans.

If you are a group serving youth and/or a non-profit organization that would like to partner with us, please reach out. Our board also considers requests for free space use on a case by case basis for organizations and events that are providing a service to our community.
