Two decades ago, Boy Scout Troop 161 embarked on a mission to create a space that would serve as both a meeting place and a refuge for nature within Philomath’s city limits. What started as a quest for a few acres led to the preservation of 58 acres of vital wetlands. This project, brought to life by Scouts and volunteers including the Grl Scouts and Benton County 4-H, is a testament to what dedicated community effort can achieve. Your contributions will help us sustain this lodge and land, fostering a nurturing environment for both our youth and local wildlife.
